A Wedding at The Common House

Bonnie and Chad’s destination wedding in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Common House.

Bonnie & Chad’s Destination Wedding at the Chattanooga Common House

As a Chattanooga wedding videographer, I’ve filmed many beautiful celebrations—but Bonnie and Chad’s destination wedding at Common House Chattanooga was truly one of a kind. This stunning downtown Chattanooga venue served as the perfect backdrop for their modern, multicultural wedding, blending clean, minimalist design with heartfelt tradition.

The couple traveled from out of state and welcomed guests from across the Southeast and around the globe for their hybrid Korean-Christian wedding ceremony. Their love for one another was quietly powerful—grounded and full of intention. Their first look was one of the most moving moments I’ve captured: just the two of them, finding calm and connection in each other’s presence.

Common House Chattanooga offers a unique venue experience, featuring a boutique hotel, on-site restaurant, rooftop pool retreat, and elegant indoor and outdoor event spaces. Bonnie and Chad took full advantage of the venue’s beauty, curating a wedding day that was both elevated and deeply personal.

Working alongside Madelein Beck Photography, we focused on crafting intimate portraits and capturing the emotional core of the day—from getting ready in the Common House suites to sunset courtyard moments. The film highlights not just the aesthetics, but the atmosphere and connection that defined their wedding day.

Bonnie’s vision for her wedding was minimalist yet luxurious. New Mood Floral brought that vision to life with unexpected floral installations featuring natural elements like limes, artichokes, and soft greenery—adding rich texture to the modern reception hall.

One of the most memorable moments came during the reception dinner, when Bonnie’s father gave a touching tribute that honored their journey and brought the room to tears. It was clear that this celebration was about more than decor—it was about family, culture, and love.

To match the visual tone of the day, I created a custom color treatment for the wedding film’s title sequence, pulling from Bonnie’s design palette and aesthetic. The result is a film that starts quietly and intimately, then builds into a joyful, emotional celebration—a true reflection of the couple and their story.

If you're planning a wedding at Common House Chattanooga or looking for a Chattanooga-based wedding videographer, I’d love to help you capture your story with intention, art, and heart.

A Wedding at The Hunter Museum

Megan and Lee’s wedding near the Bluff View Art District at the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, Tn.

Megan & Lee’s Playful Wedding at The Hunter Museum on The Bluff in Downtown Chattanooga, TN

As a Chattanooga wedding videographer, I get to witness love stories in some of the most iconic spots in the city—and Megan and Lee’s wedding at the Hunter Museum of American Art was unforgettable. Nestled in the Bluff View Art District, the Hunter offers sweeping river views, modern architecture, and a perfect blend of art and atmosphere for couples looking for a wedding with personality and style.

Megan and Lee, both West Point graduates, chose to celebrate their marriage with an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and fellow graduates. The bluff view inside the museum offers a stunning view of the Tennessee River —a backdrop that was as meaningful as it was breathtaking.

Guests enjoyed signature cocktails on the terrace as a live wedding painter captured the couple's likeness in real time, adding an interactive and artistic touch to cocktail hour that everyone adored.

The day began just steps away from the museum at The Edwin Hotel, one of Chattanooga’s most stylish wedding prep locations. With its soft, flattering light and upscale interiors, it was the perfect space for capturing all the wedding day details—from the groom’s thoughtful gifts to the bride’s dress glowing in the morning light. The short walk from The Edwin to the Hunter made the transition smooth, relaxed, and luxurious.

In a moment that perfectly reflected the groom’s fun-loving spirit, Lee snuck in a surprise outfit change before the ceremony—appearing in full Star Trek Captain Kirk uniform, to the delight of guests. Before Megan walked down the aisle, he quickly changed back into formalwear. It was the perfect balance of humor and tradition, and a true reflection of Lee’s personality.

After the heartfelt ceremony, we had the chance to slip away with Our Ampersand Photography—the incredibly talented Jaims—for golden hour rooftop footage. The sunset over the Tennessee River created the most magical light, silhouetting the couple in glowing summer warmth. These moments were cinematic and full of joy—my absolute favorite kind to film.

The evening continued with an elegant dinner reception catered by Events with Taste, where the couple’s fathers and the bride’s sister delivered a blend of hilarious and heartfelt toasts that kept everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure.

When it came time to dance, Emerald Empire Band brought the house down with an energetic live set that had everyone on their feet. Megan even wore ballet slippers to make the night more comfortable—and it was clear she danced every minute of it.

Megan and Lee’s wedding was the perfect mix of elegance, personality, and celebration. It’s always a joy to document love stories like theirs—especially when they include surprise Star Trek moments, golden hour magic, and rooftop dancing in the heart of downtown Chattanooga.

If you're planning a Hunter Museum wedding, a celebration in the Bluff View Art District, and you're looking for a Chattanooga wedding videographer to tell your story in a natural, intentional way—I’d love to connect.

Alexis & Tyler Elope on Snooper’s Rock

Alexis and Tyler had a whimsical elopement on Snooper’s Rock, the breathtaking mountains cape surrounded by trails and creeks at the edge of Prentice Cooper State Park in Chattanooga, Tn.

A Whimsical Snooper’s Rock Elopement & Downtown Chattanooga Celebration

Alexis & Tyler’s Mountain View Ceremony + Turnbull Building Reception

As a Chattanooga elopement videographer, I get to document love stories in some of the most stunning places in the Southeast—and Snooper’s Rock might be one of the most magical. Perched high above the Tennessee River, this panoramic overlook at the edge of Prentice Cooper State Park offers breathtaking views, rustic trails, and a peaceful escape into nature.

Alexis and Tyler chose this serene setting for their intimate elopement, surrounded by their closest family members and two beloved dogs. With the spring wildflowers in bloom and crisp mountain air all around, the couple shared heartfelt personal vows on the bluff’s edge—framed by blue skies and endless views of the gorge below.

In true Kentucky wedding fashion, the couple honored the buried bourbon tradition—digging up a bottle they had hidden before the big day, a Southern folklore ritual meant to ensure good weather. And it worked! With not a cloud in the sky and sunlight spilling over the cliffs, it was the perfect spring day for an outdoor mountain elopement.

After their ceremony, Alexis and Tyler celebrated with a Miller High Life toast and shared a sweet cheers with their dogs. These little joyful moments captured their fun-loving spirit so well not just with each other, but to the people that celebrated with them!

Later that evening, the couple welcomed friends downtown for a relaxed reception at The Turnbull Building, one of the most iconic vintage wedding venues in downtown Chattanooga. The space was filled with laughter, music, and personal touches—from a taco bar by Taqueria Jalisco to bourbon selections curated from elite Kentucky distillers.

Alexis and Tyler shared dinner and heartfelt speeches with loved ones before dancing the night away to the high-energy performance of the Even Odds Band. The vibe was fun, genuine, and full of love—exactly what you hope for in a wedding celebration.

From mountaintop vows to rooftop toasts, this day was a dream to capture. Alexis and Tyler created a wedding experience that reflected their personalities, honored their roots, and centered on what mattered most: love, laughter, and good bourbon.

If you're planning a Snooper’s Rock elopement, a Chattanooga micro wedding, or a laid-back city-meets-nature celebration, I’d be honored to help tell your story through film.

Taylor & Jeff

After three reschedules and a final push to make a snowy pathway accessible for 35 out of town guests to their small ranch in Oregon, they managed to make their dream a reality.

Taylor and Jeff had been dreaming of creating a wedding weekend for their people that was intimate, unique, and in tune with their wild and kindred hearts for years. After three reschedules and a final push to make a snowy pathway accessible for 35 out of town guests to their small ranch in Oregon, they managed to make their dream a reality.

They lit a bonfire on the first day and kept it rolling until the last car pulled out of the driveway at the end of the weekend. The group enjoyed a chili cookout and multiple days of skiing, even yoga! Filming all the adventures and getting to steal away to ski for a few hours was such a fun delight! After the hubbub of the weekend, Taylor and Jeff had a quiet first look beneath the same snowy mountains that watched them marry in ceremony and tradition a few hours later.

Every detail of their day was carefully curated with intention and integrity. Jeff’s cowboy boots and his bolo tie: a nod to his western roots and Taylor’s veil: hand painted with different animals that would guide Taylor in her love and life forever.

Taylor’s dad officiated and watching him give a blessing his first born daughter felt like the perfect way to welcome the group into the ritual of connecting these two in love and in life. Their love began years ago and the fire continues to burn through the changes and the celebrations. And oh what a celebration it was.

Sibel & Skylar

Skylar and Sibel’s wedding was held near the pristine and sleek beaches of Sarasota, Florida. The Oak’s Country Club was a regal backdrop for the laughter, the dancing, and the elegance of the night.

Skylar and Sibel’s wedding was held near the pristine and sleek beaches of Sarasota, Florida. The Oak’s Country Club was a regal backdrop for the laughter, the dancing, and the elegance of the night. Filming this one was a unique Florida treat, the weather held off the humidity and the night was cool and breezy.

Skylar’s style was sleek and polished and his voice was so commanding and direct when he read his own vows to Skylar. Sibel quietly got ready surrounded by her sister, mother, and a group of close girlfriends. She was elegant and posh in her streamlined crepe gown with the most dramatic open back. It even had tassels! The rope knot work connecting the dress as a halter was my favorite detail.

Sibel’s Turkish heritage was celebrated throughout the night. Guest walked away with a third eye charm and were surprised with a bellydance performance at the start of the reception. Both families welcomed the union with such open arms, giving heartfelt speeches in honor of the couple’s love story, personalities, and their commitment to joining the two families together!

Catie & Jake

Catie and Jake came together under the oaks and wide open farm lands at Crooked River Ranch for their Florida winter wedding.

Catie and Jake came together under the oaks and wide open farm lands at Crooked River Ranch for their Florida winter wedding. It was a blissful 65 degree sunny day filled with laughter and tons of eclectic fabulousness! Filming their wedding andconnections just felt like coming home.

Catie spent time with her sisters and niece while she got ready and opened a gift from Jake-a custom pistol! After lots of laughs, she put on her green soccer cleats and did a first look with her dad who moonlit as her soccer coach for years.

Catie and Jake both made sure their day wasn’t just traditional but let their personalities shine. Their guests ate wood-fire grilled pizza and spent the evening outside under the stars playing connect four and corn-hole. You could hear the laughter and dancing reverberate from the barn all the way to to the glow of the fire pit.

It was fun, it was real, and it was the kind of love you want to celebrate forever.

Corinne & Luke

Corinne and Luke travelled from their home base in Atlanta where Luke formerly played for the Braves Major League Baseball team.

Corinne and Luke travelled from their home base in Atlanta where Luke formerly played for the Braves Major League Baseball team. Luke’s family hosted a small intimate gathering at the Islamorada resort Cheeka Lodge and Spa with an intimate beachside ceremony. I was able to film the quiet ceremony and reception with the family where they shared communion and a personal message from Luke’s dad.

A dear friend of mine, Katie Schlabach was the photographer. It was so fun to film alongside on a elopement after two years almost exactly to the day I filmed her elopement. We splashed in the sea while the sun set. Then we were whisked away to celebratory dinner reception at a nearby local favorite-Square Grouper.

Corinne had a custom cake created to commemorate the occasion, covered with flower petals. Everything was curated to match her bohemian, earthy asthetic. It was an intimate and true reflection of their peaceful personalities.
