I’m Chelsea!

When I am not shooting, I’ll most likely be in the kitchen with my 7 year old daughter Cora. We spend most of our time making Milk Street recipes and trash talking pb&j’s.

An Atlanta native, I grew up with art and creativity touching every aspect of life, especially relationships. I was my daughter’s age when my dad let me tag along with him while he played guitar at a wedding. It was the first time I felt love on such a grand scale.

Even then, weddings seemed to me the most creative representation of all that is beautiful in the world. From then on I designed sketchbooks of wedding gowns, planned parties, and eventually fell in love with filming weddings. They are different every time, from the linens to the lace, and each time I find myself catching my breath and remembering that special feeling from my childhood: the fantasy, the hope and love:

The art of love.

I believe weddings are a place to cultivate community, love, and hope.

LOVE IS LOVE and my ultimate hope is that my films are an expression of those ideals. Who we are, how we love, and how we show that love is our ultimate autonomy.
