Skylar & Ruttledge say their vows overlooking the views of at Lookout Mountain, Ga.

As a Chattanooga wedding videographer, one of my favorite weddings this season was my very first wedding at the newly built McLemore Golf & Resort in Rising Fawn, Georgia—just over Lookout Mountain and minutes from the Chattanooga Valley. The sweeping cliffside views alone were absolutely breathtaking and made this Lookout Mountain wedding unforgettable.

Family and friends traveled in from Atlanta and across the Deep South to celebrate a weekend filled with relaxation, golf, and joy during Masters Golf Weekend. The bride’s family hosted their closest relatives on Friday evening at the McLemore Lodge, where the cozy fireplace and dramatic cliff views set the perfect tone for the celebration ahead.

On the wedding day, the couple got ready in the stunning guest houses scattered throughout the McLemore community. They shared a secluded first look practically in the clouds. Before guests arrived, they chose to visit their ceremony site together—one of my favorite moments of the entire day. They laughed, whispered, and danced in the exact place they would soon return to exchange vows as husband and wife.

Our Ampersand Photography joined me as a second shooter, and we worked alongside photographer Heather McClenehan and the incredible Kate from Harper Event Company, who brought the vision to life with stunning florals from Fox & Fern and beautiful rentals from Luma Designs. Truly a dream vendor team!

Skylar and Rutledge were one of the most laid-back couples I’ve ever worked with. Their biggest priority was making sure their guests—and their vendors—feel like family. From cocktail hour spilling out onto the ceremony lawn to the lively indoor reception, the entire design encouraged connection, conversation, and celebration. When DJ Legendary kicked off the dance floor, this crew danced for hours!

This film was such a blast to make. I couldn’t resist creating sequences of the film to highlight the joy, energy, and fun this couple brought to their day.
